In April 2018 Fox Communications was taken on to lead a UK luxury PR campaign to launch Gennadi Grand Resort as the new design hotel transforming the Greek island of Rhodes.

Services Provided:

  • Positioned the new hotel opening as ‘a new standard for five-star hospitality in the Greek islands’ amongst luxury lifestyle media and luxury travel trade.
  • Organised, secured and hosted targeted UK media, as well as seeding out key storytelling angles about the new hotel opening.
  • Secured Travel Weekly’s Aspire to host their annual Retreat at the hotel, giving Gennadi Grand Resort the opportunity to host 25 of the UK’s top luxury agents for a first-hand experience and showcase their events and MICE capabilities.
  • Generated over 130 pieces of print and online coverage across national, consumer and travel trade titles including London Evening Standard, Telegraph.co.uk, The Independent, TTG Luxury, Forbes.com and Woman’s Health.

Following a site visit and meeting with the client, Fox developed an in-depth brand positioning to enrich the narrative and highlight the USPs, as well as key messages for communication purposes moving forward.

As part of Lindos Hotels, Fox highlighted the family owned group and its brand initiatives, showcasing how the latest property embraced the latest luxury travel trend of locality, through its food, ingredients and experiences.

With little brand awareness in the UK, Fox’s campaign strategy was to position the new hotel opening as ‘a new standard for five-star hospitality in the Greek islands’ amongst luxury lifestyle media and luxury travel trade.

We organised, secured and hosted targeted UK media, as well as seeding out key storytelling angles about the new hotel opening. Since the launch, Fox Communications has generated over 130 pieces of print and online coverage across national, consumer and travel trade titles including London Evening Standard, Telegraph.co.uk, The Independent, TTG Luxury, Forbes.com and Woman’s Health. The campaign has been so successful, that Lindos Hotels has extended the portfolio to include two more of their five-start resorts, including another launch this year.
