Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade of Lights
The showstopping 115th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade will occur nightly at 6:30pm from 13 – 17 December. Visitors can watch as hundreds of beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes sail along the harbour, competing for awards in over half a dozen categories. With Newport’s vast offering of harbourfront restaurants, viewers can enjoy the spectacular light display whilst indulging in fine dining. A+O Restaurant and Bar is highly recommended for a front-row view of the parade, paired with live music and a delicious menu of fresh seafood.
Festive Night Markets
Hosted on the opening night of the boat parade in Marina Park, the charming night market features produce from local craftsmen and food vendors including roast chestnuts and freshly baked gingerbread, alongside a variety of entertainment and kids activities including face painting and a dazzling fireworks display.
Fashion Island’s Annual Tree Lighting
Gather around the 90-foot, white fir Christmas tree at Fashion Island for the Nightly Tree Lighting Experience, and watch as the area transforms with snowfall, festive music and a light display. The show debuts 18 November – 2 January, every half-hour between 5:30pm and 7:50pm in the Neiman Marcus – Bloomingdale’s Courtyard. This year, Fashion Island will also feature a Santa’s Grotto where kids can share their Christmas wish list and snap a picture with Santa.
