More than 715,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted an incredible number of responses rating their travel experiences across the globe, and now, the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry.
COMO Hotels and Resorts, the boutique hotel group, part of COMO Group, had 12 of its luxury properties recognised within the awards, including wellbeing flagship, COMO Shambhala Estate, which was named within the top 10 Destination Spa Resorts in the World. COMO The Treasury in Perth was named the Best Hotel in Australia and New Zealand, while COMO Uma Punakha in Bhutan earned its title as the #1 Best Resort in Asia.
It’s sister property, COMO Uma Paro was also recognised, alongside COMO Metropolitan Bangkok and COMO Point Yamu in Phuket. COMO Maalifushi was named within the Best Resorts in the Indian Ocean, while the group’s newest hotel, COMO Castello Del Nero, made its debut within Best Hotels in Italy. Mentions also include COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach, COMO’s two London properties – COMO Metropolitan London and COMO The Halkin – and COMO Parrot Cay, a private island resort in Turks and Caicos.
Velaa Private Island in the Maldives was recognised within the Top 30 Resorts in the Indian Ocean. Nestled within the constellation of islands that form the Noonu Atoll in the Maldives, Velaa Private Island is arguably one of the most private and luxury islands in the world and is the only resort in the Maldives to have a no-drone policy. With their ‘anything is possible’ outlook, they are sure to surpass the expectations of even the most sophisticated world traveller.
Nestled on the ancient hilltop village of Uçhisar, argos in Cappadocia has been named the 6th Best Hotel in Greece and Turkey. Framed by striking canyons and mountains, suites at argos in Cappadocia are carved from caves and volcanic stones and are spread through seven revived mansions, boasting rustic chic interiors combining traditional Turkish crafts and modern furniture. D-Maris Bay, perched above a picturesque cove offering breath-taking views of the Datça Peninsula, has been recognised within the Top 30 Resorts in Europe.
Nobu Hotels, the global hospitality group co-founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, also had a number of their luxury hotels recognised within the awards. Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay has been recognised within the Top 20 Hotels in Spain and Portugal, while Nobu Hotel Los Cabos has been named within the Top 15 Hotels in Mexico.
Recognised within the Top 10 Hotels in Las Vegas, Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace features Japanese-inspired décor mixed with sleek, modern touches in Nobu’s signature pared-back luxury, while on the East Coast, Nobu Hotel Miami Beach has been acknowledged within the top 20 hotels in Miami for the third year running, owing to its oceanfront location and David Rockwell’s contemporary beach house design.
