Fox Communications was tasked with launching akyra TAS Sukhumvit Bangkok to the UK market.
- Writing Press Releases
- Secured coverage in high profile publications and media
- Secured Broadcast coverage
- Arranged key press visits to the property
Our campaign brief, in an already crowded market with numerous new five-star hotel openings in Thailand in 2018, was to make akyra TAS Sukhumvit Bangkok stand out from the crowd using its design, location and no single-use plastic initiative as its unique selling points.
Positing it as Asia’s first plastic-free hotel, we secured a total of 38 pieces of coverage across national, global digital and broadcast channels, including The Daily Telegraph, Ultratravel, Robb Report, Forbes.com and The Sunday Times Travel Magazine.
In order to secure the coverage, we distributed a press release surrounding AHG’s eco-incentives and offered the hotel group’s Founder and CEO, Anchalika Kijkanakorn to press for comment on the eco-initiatives, using akyra TAS Sukhumvit Bangkok as the figurehead property for this campaign.
We achieved a 5.24 minute broadcast feature on BBC Business, in the form of a one-to-one interview with Anchalika Kijkanakorn discussing the eco initiatives within the AHG group, available in over 200 million households worldwide.
We have targeted key media for individual press visits to the property to experience it’s no single-use plastic initiative and fantastic location. We have organised visits from The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, National Geographic Traveller and London Evening Standard.
